The exterior of the 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali is impeccably streamlined for the Baton Rouge driver to say the least. The body of the vehicle is hunched upon four all terrain tires. With ample engine room in the front protruding from the base of the vehicle, this SUV conjures up the image of a crouching big cat ready to pounce. Four doors make the vehicle convenient for use by not only the driver, but up to six of the passengers. The back window comes complete with windshield wipers for inclement weather. Mirrors are extendable and retractable both. The front of the vehicle comes complete with a fine chrome grill.

Refined and Immaculate

The interior of the vehicle is refined and immaculate. The interior is made of perforated leather, complete with heated and cooled seating. There are three rows of seating, including SmartSlide seating to allow second row seats to move forward for third row seating. The trim on these vehicles is made of actual real aluminum, not plastic. The SLE has a cloth interior, while the SLT has leather interior. The SLT even has a leather wrapped steering wheel for the chicest drive. Temperature control is advanced and the steering wheel is heated. Additionally, there is a dual sunroof. There is a covered cargo storage area under the floor. When the second and third rows of seating are completely reclined, the vehicle can store up to 7.9 cubic feet of maximum cargo space.

Advanced Technology

This vehicle comes equipped with the very utmost in driver safety features. Passive features allow the driver to operate the vehicle without fret of being responsible for so many different factors all at once. There is also automatic emergency braking below 50 mph to prevent forward collisions from occuring. There is also front pedestrian braking and rear parking assist. The Intellibeam system automatically turns on and off the vehicle's high beam headlamps according to particular traffic conditions. The 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali also comes complete with lane assist, following distance indicator, and adaptive cruise control. Adaptive cruise control automatically maintains the driver's selected gap from the vehicle in front of him or her.

The engine in the 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali is breathtaking. The 3.6 Liter V6 engine of this particular vehicle can tow up to 4,000 lbs. City mileage is 19 miles per gallon and highway mileage is 27 miles per gallon. This engine has 310 horsepower and 371 lbs. per foot of torque. Different modes on this engine can be used for different types of outdoor terrain. The driver can select Normal, Snow, Sport, or Trailer/Tow (if equipped) on front wheel drive models. On all wheel drive models, the driver can select front wheel drive, all wheel drive, sport, off-road, or trailer/tow (if equipped).

There is also a Hill Descent control feature which allows for anti-lock braking in rough terrain. Additionally, there is hill start assist and adaptive ride control. There are also camera capabilities to line up the driver's hitch with the trailer complete with colorful guiding lines on the camera viewer's screen. There are two other engine options for this vehicle - 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder Turbo Engine and 2.5 Liter 4 cylinder engine.

The Safety

Lane assist is a similar feature to adaptive cruise control, but operates to maintain distance from the sides of the vehicle. When the vehicle begins to depart outside of the lines of the lane, the lane assist gives the LA driver a gentle nudge of the steering wheel to shift the vehicle back into the lane. There is also a rear cross traffic alert, which alerts the driver pulling out backwards whether or not there is any traffic pulling up behind him.

AVAILABLE FOLLOWING DISTANCE INDICATOR

Displays the gap time in seconds between your vehicle and a detected vehicle you’re following. This can help you decide if you are following much too closely. Available on base Sierra HD, SLE, SLT and AT4. Standard on Denali.

AVAILABLE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

Works with Forward Collision Alert to help you avoid or reduce the severity of a front-end collision with a detected vehicle you are following. This feature works at speeds below 50 MPH. Camera technology is used to automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver’s hard braking. Available on base Sierra HD, SLE, SLT and AT4. Standard on Denali.

AVAILABLE FORWARD COLLISION ALERT

Can warn you if it detects a potential front-end collision with a vehicle you're following so you can quickly take action. The system can also provide a tailgating alert if you are following a vehicle much too closely. Available on base Sierra HD, SLE, SLT and AT4. Standard on Denali.

AVAILABLE LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT

Can provide side-mirror visual alerts when a detected moving vehicle is quickly approaching or is in your side blind zone. Available on base Sierra HD, SLE, SLT and AT4. Standard on Denali.
